Static Technology Detection

Oberon Atlas currently uses static detection only. It analyzes the response returned by the web server and does not execute page JavaScript in a headless browser.

Static detection

Static detection reads signals that are visible without executing the page in a browser.

HTML tags, meta generator values and structured data.

Script and stylesheet URLs.

HTTP headers, redirects and response metadata.

Why static detection

Static crawling is resource-efficient, predictable and straightforward to scale across independent workers.

No browser process is required for technology detection.

Response-size, redirect, robots and timeout limits are enforced during fetching.

Stored evidence can be replayed through newer detector versions.

Known limitation

A tool that becomes visible only after client-side code executes may not be detected. Results therefore describe observed static evidence rather than every internal or runtime integration.
